1. Development history of the center

The predecessor of Hainan Medical College was the private Haiqiang Medical Technical School founded in 1947. After nearly half a century of development and name changes, Hainan Medical College was independently established in 1993 and formed a relatively complete diagnostic laboratory and surgical animal experiment. room. With the rapid development of the medical school and the requirements of the development of medical science and technology, the clinical skills laboratory was established in 1996. In 2005, a multifunctional clinical skills experimental teaching center of Hainan Medical College was established to serve the medical multidisciplinary clinical skills experimental teaching. It was approved as a national experimental teaching demonstration center construction unit in 2009, and passed the acceptance of the national experimental teaching demonstration center in 2013. In order to meet the requirements of the school's teaching development, it was independently set up as a secondary teaching assistant unit of the school in 2017.

2. Central positioning and goals

  (1) Form a curriculum-oriented multi-professional integrated clinical skill experimental teaching platform

  Able to undertake clinical skills education in medicine, related medicine, and nursing related majors, as well as medical skills education in related majors of medicine.

  (2) Establish an innovative clinical skill experimental teaching model based on simulation teaching

  The use of various local functional models of medical simulation teaching, computer interactive simulation and virtual technology and other simulation systems to create clinical scenarios that do not depend on patients.

  (3) Establish a service platform that meets the needs of continuing education and training

  On the basis of satisfying academic education and teaching tasks, the basic clinical skills training is carried out for community doctors, young doctors in primary hospitals and general practitioners. At the same time, basic first aid skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation are trained for surrounding communities, fire protection, public security and other departments.

The Clinical Skills Experimental Teaching Center covers an area of about 15,000 square meters and has 7 floors. There are 2 cardiopulmonary auscultation rooms, 2 abdominal palpation rooms, 2 computer rooms, 1 central control room and 95 laboratories (see Table 4) .
