Introduction to Clinical Skills Training Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University

1. Overview

The Clinical Skills Training Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, as a platform for experimental teaching and practical teaching, has more than 50 million teaching equipment. It is an off-campus practical education base for college students under the "Undergraduate Teaching Project" affiliated to the Ministry of Education and the first batch of national clinical teaching training The Demonstration Center is a national standardized training base for resident physicians, a national standardized training base for general practitioners, a national physician qualification examination practice skill test and examiner training base, and a standardized training completion examination center for resident physicians in Henan Province. It is the China International Science Promotion Committee Standardized patient practice teaching demonstration base.

2. Teaching tasks undertaken

(1) Experimental teaching tasks, including: General Surgery, Laboratory Diagnostics, Clinical Diagnostics, and Imaging Diagnostics. The teaching objects are undergraduates, international students, and postgraduates majoring in clinical medicine, anesthesiology, basic medicine, imaging, preventive medicine, stomatology, etc. The experimental teaching workload in 2019 will reach 244,608 hours;

(2) Skills training tasks, including: ①Practical skills training and assessment for medical undergraduates, international students and postgraduates of Zhengzhou University; ②Standardized training of resident doctors and practical skills training; ③All levels of personnel (medical students, foreign students, young doctors, etc.) Skills competition training work; ④"Three Bases and Three Strict" training work; ⑤Assisted in completing the national qualification examination for practicing physicians and provincial residency examinations; the workload of skills training in 2019 was 53,035 person hours;

3. Full-time staff: currently there are 6 people in total. Among them, 1 deputy director (chief nurse); 1 attending physician (clinical medicine); 1 teaching assistant (education major), 2 physicians (clinical medicine), and 1 nurse in charge;
 

4. Equipment assets: 2,073 equipment (sets), valued at approximately 46 million (including the purchase of special funds for schools, hospitals and residential training). Among them, 3 pieces of large-scale equipment valued at more than 100,000 yuan but less than 500,000 yuan, with a total value of 640,000; 9 pieces with value of more than 500,000 yuan, with a total value of 8.02 million.

5. Informatization construction: In 2018, schools and hospitals jointly invested more than 10 million in infrastructure reconstruction and upgrading and informatization construction, and now a first-class analog medicine intelligent learning and assessment (Smile) platform in China has been built, including "e-test" System (Skills E-Assessment System) and the "e-learning" system (Skills E-Autonomous Leaning System). The Seas system has been put into use to meet the functional requirements of self-learning, real-time practice, real-time test, intelligent test scheduling, unattended test, and remote grading. The Seals self-learning platform has 13 majors, 182 courses, and virtual simulation projects (VR ) Surgery projects and artificial intelligence-assisted training projects have been put into use.

6. Achievements: Actively participate in the clinical skills competitions for college students of national higher medical schools over the years. The awards include: the second prize of the second central China competition area, the third prize of the third national competition, the third prize of the fourth national competition, The second prize of the sixth national competition, the second prize of the seventh national competition, the special prize of the eighth national competition. In 2017, the hospital’s trainees won two group first prizes (excellent team award and best team cooperation award) and two individual excellence awards (internal medicine individual excellence award and pediatric technology ability) in the first clinical thinking and skills competition for international students in China.
