Advanced Minimally Invasive Techniques Training Workshop at Micro-Invasive International Medical Center
Date: July 26–30, 2025
Location: North Campus of Henan Provincial People's Hospital

On July 26, the Advanced Minimally Invasive Technology Training Session hosted by the Minimally Invasive International Medical Center Central China Branch and co-organized by the China International Investment Promotion Agency Smart Health Investment Promotion Committee and the Minimally Invasive International Medical Center, with support from the Minimally Invasive International Medical Center Central China Branch and Henan Provincial People's Hospital, was held at the North Campus of Henan Provincial People's Hospital. The training session focused on the application and advancement of advanced minimally invasive techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Through high-level academic exchanges and training, it cultivated key personnel for primary healthcare institutions in Central China, effectively elevating regional minimally invasive medical standards and making a significant contribution to the development of primary healthcare.

This training conference was convened to implement the national strategic plan outlined in the “14th Five-Year Plan for National Clinical Specialty Capacity Building,” promote the decentralization of high-quality medical resources, and enhance the capacity-building system of primary healthcare. Authoritative experts from renowned tertiary hospitals including Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Fuwai Hospital, and the PLA General Hospital gathered to conduct in-depth training on advanced minimally invasive technologies such as artificial intelligence and surgical robotics. This initiative empowers primary-level hospitals to enhance their minimally invasive surgical skills and diagnostic capabilities, laying a solid technical foundation for achieving the healthcare reform goal of “treating major illnesses locally without requiring county-level transfers.”

The training program offers comprehensive and highly targeted content, breaking down regional barriers in medical technology. It covers cutting-edge minimally invasive techniques across multiple disciplines including cardiovascular, neurology, orthopedics, and oncology, encompassing artificial intelligence, surgical robot-assisted technology, and magnetic navigation technology. The curriculum employs a standardized “theoretical training + simulation practice” system, while introducing advanced management practices and innovative approaches to discipline development. This comprehensive approach empowers grassroots hospitals to elevate their minimally invasive capabilities, cultivate specialized talent, and foster sustainable, healthy growth.
At this conference, BDS showcased three products: the Vascular Intervention Surgery Simulation Training System, the Neurosurgery Simulation Training System, and the Clinical Reasoning Training System. These garnered close attention and high praise from attending experts and instructors.
2025 Nanping Laparoscopic Practical Skills Competition
To further elevate the laparoscopic practical skills of young surgeons citywide, advance the standardization and normalization of minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques, and ensure medical quality and patient safety, the Nanping General Surgery and Urology Quality Control Centers jointly hosted the 2025 Nanping Laparoscopic Practical Skills Competition on July 27.

This competition received enthusiastic participation from 14 hospitals, including Nanping Municipal People's Hospital, Nanping First Hospital, Guangze County Hospital, Songxi County Hospital, 907 Hospital, and Jianyang First Hospital, with a total of 56 contestants actively competing. To ensure fairness and professionalism, the competition was divided into municipal and county-level divisions. The municipal division comprised participants from city-affiliated medical institutions, while the county-level division included participants from medical institutions across counties (cities, districts). Each division was further subdivided into junior and intermediate tiers: the junior tier for physicians holding the title of resident physician or below, and the intermediate tier for physicians holding the title of attending physician.

The competition employs a total points system. Each contestant must sequentially complete tasks such as bean retrieval, precision cutting, and suturing with knots using the laparoscopic surgical skills training system and laparoscopic simulation instruments. Final rankings will be determined based on the aggregated scores.

This competition features a comprehensive array of awards, including one first-place team award, two second-place team awards, and three third-place team awards, alongside one first-place individual award, two second-place individual awards, and three third-place individual awards. These accolades aim to motivate young surgeons across the city to actively participate and elevate their professional skills. BDS provided full personnel and technical support throughout the event, ensuring the successful completion of the training program.
