From July 25 to 27, 2025, the highly anticipated “Medical Education Forum (2025)” convened at the Beijing International Convention Center. Guided by the Medical Education Professional Committee of the China Association of Higher Education and the Medical Education Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, the forum was hosted by the National Center for Medical Education Development, organized by Peking University Health Science Center, and co-organized by People's Medical Publishing House, Peking University Medical Press, and the Chinese Journal of Medical Education.

Centered on the core theme “New Paradigms, New Challenges: Digital Intelligence Empowerment and Integrated Development,” the forum featured a rich and diverse program. This included a main forum, expert consultation sessions, 10 sub-forums, 20 workshops, 104 specialized academic presentations, 31 oral presentations, and 22 poster exchange activities. Notably, the forum was preceded by 10 online pre-conference seminars, laying a solid foundation for the successful on-site proceedings.

The forum gathered top experts and scholars from the global medical education community, attracting over 2,000 participants—including educational administrators, faculty, and students—from more than 230 institutions across 18 countries and regions. Attendees engaged in active discussions, sparking intellectual exchanges and gaining valuable insights as they collectively savored this academic feast and contributed ideas for innovative pathways in medical education.

BDS was invited to participate in this grand event, showcasing its core products including the self-developed AI-powered intelligent patient consultation system, interactive scenario-based case teaching system, and laparoscopic surgery simulation training system. During the exhibition, BDS comprehensively demonstrated its integrated modern simulation-based medical education approach—spanning “AI-powered diagnosis → divergent diagnostic thinking training → virtual reality surgical treatment”—earning unanimous praise from attending educators for its innovation and practicality.

The successful convening of the Medical Education Forum (2025) has established an efficient platform for exchange and collaboration within the global medical education community, significantly advancing the integrated development of medical education in the digital and intelligent era. Building on this participation, BDS will continuously refine its simulation-based medical education products and services, contributing further to the innovative advancement of medical education and helping cultivate more outstanding medical professionals equipped to meet the demands of the new era.

AI-Powered Patient Consultation System

Built around a robust underlying large language model as its core engine, this system is specifically designed for training medical students in clinical reasoning. Its breakthrough lies in its deep semantic understanding core, which accurately parses trainees' complex, open-ended questions and simulates real patient thinking for dynamic feedback. It also supports complex scenarios involving multiple rounds of consecutive follow-up questions. The system constructs an intelligent assessment matrix based on the large model, automatically deconstructing the entire consultation process to precisely quantify student capabilities: it not only analyzes the completeness of capturing chief complaints but also evaluates the penetration rate of humanistic care through NLP-based markers. On the student side, real-time feedback from the large model rapidly exposes and corrects diagnostic blind spots; on the instructor side, the large model's knowledge graph automatically generates precise improvement plans targeting weaknesses in student case studies, significantly enhancing teaching efficiency.

Interactive Scenario-Based Case Teaching System

The interactive scenario-based case teaching system leverages real patient data and integrates multi-touch operation technology to create an immersive 3D medical practice environment for trainees. Trainees can comprehensively conduct detailed medical history collection, simulate physical examination procedures, and accurately execute auxiliary tests. The system further supports in-depth interpretation of various physiological indicators and test results, enabling precise diagnosis. This guides trainees in performing scientifically effective treatment practices on simulated patients within the virtual environment.

Combined Virtual and Physical Training Model

The hybrid training model creates a safe and efficient practice environment for learners. Its core lies in highly replicating human anatomical structures and simulating physiological responses, while integrating advanced interactive technology to provide real-time feedback and track the procedure. The model's precise anatomical reproduction ensures each simulated operation closely mirrors real clinical scenarios.

Laparoscopic Surgery Simulation Training System

The Laparoscopic Surgery Simulation Training System is an educational device designed for laparoscopic surgery training. It employs human anatomical visualization technology and force feedback technology. The system simulates various clinical surgical instruments required for laparoscopic procedures, featuring clear visuals, realistic organ representations, and tactile feedback identical to actual clinical surgeries. Training modules include: fundamental skill practice, suturing exercises, cholecystectomy, gynecological surgeries, gastric bypass procedures, and total hysterectomy.
