When life's alarm suddenly sounds, how do angels in white race against time with their expertise?
From June 13 to 15, amidst the vibrant atmosphere of the 7th Pearl River Simulation Medical Education Development Forum, a pinnacle competition focused on clinical critical incidents—the “Rescue at Your Side” Nursing Scenario Simulation Contest for Identifying and Handling Clinical Critical Incidents—concluded successfully in Guangzhou! Organized by the Guangdong Medical Education Association with strong support from multiple authoritative institutions, this event served not only as a pinnacle gathering for the nursing community but also injected fresh momentum into the innovative development of medical simulation education.

This competition utilized the “Nursing Reasoning Case Teaching System,” independently developed by Bedstar, as its virtual “battlefield,” bringing life-threatening emergencies from real hospital settings into simulated scenarios. From the race against time during cardiac arrest to the calm response after medication errors, each simulated case served as a mirror, reflecting participants' keen insight into critical situations and their ability to handle them according to protocol. Transforming into “Guardians of Life,” the contestants delivered impressive performances on this virtual-reality battlefield through solid expertise, rapid response, and teamwork.

Nursing serves as the first line of defense in safeguarding patients' lives and health, and nursing simulation training acts as the “whetstone” for honing this elite force. By highly replicating clinical scenarios, it breaks through the limitations of traditional teaching, enabling nursing staff to accumulate experience and enhance skills through realistic practice. This competition serves not only as an assessment of individual participants' capabilities but also as a vital national platform for exchanging nursing simulation teaching experiences. It truly achieves the dual objectives of “enhancing teaching through competition” and “advancing research through competition,” charting new directions for the development of nursing simulation education.

After multiple rounds of fierce competition, Lin Bo from Shenzhen Children's Hospital emerged victorious, winning the Grand Prize. Each award recipient stands as an outstanding leader in the nursing field, embodying the responsibility and dedication of modern-day nursing professionals through their exceptional performances. Let us witness this moment of glory together and applaud all the award winners!

Product Introduction

Detailed Explanation of the Nursing Thinking Case Teaching System Functions
The system employs the nursing process framework (assessment - diagnosis - planning - implementation - evaluation) to establish a structured thinking system. It supports comprehensive collection of patient subjective and objective data, covering vital signs, laboratory test indicators, patient complaints, and other critical information. Utilizing professional nursing diagnosis standards, it accurately categorizes nursing issues, clearly distinguishing existing problems from potential risks. Specific features include:
Symptom Assessment: Features clinical scenario voice dialogue functionality for highly realistic voice interaction. Virtual SPs provide real-time feedback based on learner questions, authentically replicating clinical consultation scenarios to effectively hone learners' diagnostic skills and communication abilities.
Physical Assessment: Visually displays the virtual SP's vital signs—including temperature, pulse, heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, level of consciousness, pupil status, and dyspnea severity—with customized manifestations tailored to different cases. This aids trainees in mastering key physical examination points and their correlation with disease characteristics.
Dynamic Monitoring: Supports continuous tracking of virtual SPs' puncture site conditions, edema severity, sputum characteristics, fluid balance changes, and blood test indicator fluctuations. This cultivates trainees' acute clinical observation skills and risk anticipation awareness.
Call for Assistance: When the virtual SP experiences sudden changes in condition, trainees can promptly initiate a call for assistance, simulating clinical emergency response procedures to strengthen team collaboration and emergency handling capabilities.
Risk Management: Offers diverse nursing risk management measures, helping trainees learn and master risk identification, assessment, and prevention methods to enhance clinical nursing risk control.
Assessment Scales: Flexibly apply different assessment scales to the virtual SP based on individual patient differences and disease progression stages, providing scientific basis for nursing decisions.
Nursing Interventions: Support implementation of various nursing interventions—including positioning management, airway management, circulatory management, and tube management—tailored to the virtual SP's condition, comprehensively training trainees' clinical nursing skills and integrated intervention capabilities.
Nursing Diagnosis: Learners formulate accurate nursing diagnoses for virtual patients based on collected clinical data and physician orders. Diagnoses encompass primary and secondary categories including hyperthermia, fluid overload, activity intolerance, pain, and potential complications. The system establishes supportive or exclusionary links between diagnoses and case information, fostering rigorous nursing diagnostic reasoning.
Nursing Workstation: The system integrates a fully functional nursing workstation encompassing core modules such as medical record cards, patient history, physician orders, nursing diagnosis records, and procedure logs. Learners can instantly access foundational case information, physician orders, collected patient data, and assessment scale results, enabling efficient management and convenient retrieval of nursing workflow information.
